Description:
Demolition of the Rackham Building at the Anglia Ruskin University was a complex urban demolition project, requiring carefully planned works and attention to detail. Taking down the building required hand separation works to form a demolition cut line between the Rackham Building and the adjoining structures. Following soft strip works to removal all fixtures and fittings, the building was then progressively deconstructed both by hand and then mechanically. Despite its setting in a busy area of central Cambridge, the demolition works were completed successfully to the satisfaction of the Client and with minimal disruption to the local area.
