Description:
Demolition of a former Salvation Army hostel comprising four and five-storey buildings and additional two-storey wings. Works included stripping out of fixtures and some asbestos removal. As the site is close to busy public footpaths, car parks and a Health Centre, safety precautions were paramount. The site was demolished and cleared in readiness for a new
car-park – part of the regeneration programme for Swindon town centre.
Structure: Reinforced concrete; brick cladding, ACM
